Meet Mrs. Tellinghuisen!
This is my sixth year as a West Central Trojan. I began by teaching 6th and 7th grade language arts, but now I teach 6th grade reading and language arts! This year I'll also be coaching Middle School Oral Interp.
In May of 2012 I graduated from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. (GO JACKS!) Brandt, SD, is the place I call home- population 100. The tiny town was formerly a booming railroad metropolis, but it now is only famous for a delicious small town diner and a successful softball team.
Since I was a middle schooler myself, it has been my life goal to teach middle school English. I am so thrilled to be at West Central, and I hope to explore concrete concepts in innovative, interesting ways. In a middle school setting, every day brings something new, and I can't wait to see what this year has in store!
